Jacquelyn Cyr, CEO, has entered into an agreement to become a shareholder and member of the board. While going from employee to owner in under six years has been a major accomplishment, Cyr’s big plans with the marketing agency are just getting started.
TORONTO, ON / OCTOBER 30 – Espresso, a Toronto-based integrated marketing agency, announced today it has entered into a shareholding agreement with agency CEO, Jacquelyn Cyr. With this move, Cyr will be the first non-founding member of Espresso to become a shareholder and board director.

Board members and agency founders, Mike Gorman, Dean Raynor and Orest Semeniuk unanimously voted to elect Cyr to the board. It is anticipated that the transaction will close imminently.
Cyr, 31, joined Espresso (then named RetailCom) in 2004 as an Account Director and quickly rose the ranks within the agency. In 2008, Cyr was promoted to Chief Operating Officer and guided the agency through a major relaunch that included rebranding the company as Espresso, developing an internal philosophy around brand infiltration™ and expanding client services to include stronger consultative strategy, event marketing and social media tactics. In January 2009, Cyr was appointed to the role of Chief Executive Officer.
“It’s amazing how far the agency has come under the leadership of its founders,” says Cyr, “I will continue to push Espresso even further into ground-breaking territory.”
