Another year, another couple of CAPMA Promo! awards. And this year was even more exciting than the last!
After working our little selves to the bone with our much-adored clients last year, we were rewarded by the Canadian Agencies Practicing Marketing Activation with a bronze and gold statuette. The cool thing about the CAMPA Promo! awards from our perspective is that it doesn’t just value any one component of a program or campaign in order to evaluate it – their judges look at creativity, innovation, and quantitative results. Our obsession with innovation and measurement thus lead us to develop serious work-oriented covet-ation.
But one thing we know most of all is that there is no way we could’ve achieved these results without clients who were willing to push a little harder, so our immense gratitude goes out to the amazing people we’re lucky enough to work with every day!
The bronze Best Dealer or Channel Activity was for our work with Samsung’s Summer Sales Road Trip, a channel program we conducted on behalf of the company’s consumer electronics division. The results were out of this world and we couldn’t have been more thrilled with the program’s success!
The gold was awarded in the Best Small Budget category, and we won it for the super fun Samsung Instinct Telus phone launch. What did we do? Oh, just had a giant slingshot made by a medieval theatrical weapons company, had passers-by in the downtown core shoot old phones into a recycling bin (all phones were submitted to Telus’s recycling program), and gave away a bunch of phones. The event gathered tons of buzz, even ending up on the front page of our beloved Fark.com!
While, sure, it would’ve been an honour just to be nominated (or, um, to nominate ourselves – hey, we’re in reality!), we are feeling pretty darn sparkly about the whole shebang and hope to keep delivering results for clients well into the future!

Woohoo! Congrats!!! I’m still kicking myself for missing out on the slingshot fun.

Yes seriously Senior, where were your priorities? An important life lesson, when one must choose between school or life sized sling shots, the sling shot will always win!
